Error description
It takes long to log in to 7.1 CQ Web when the number of users i n the database is very high. The majority of the time seems to be taken running following query on the master_links table twice : select master_dbid, version, link_type, from_master_dbid, to_mas ter_dbid from master_links
Local fix
Problem summary
As part of the login, CQWeb requests the list of user database the user is subscribed to and for each user database in the list, CQWeb also requests the description (for display purpose only). The current implementation for getting the database list and database descriptions make unnecessary CQ core calls which not only causes performance problems but also causes concurrency problems.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available in ClearQuest 7.1.1.1.
