Question

What is the correct way to upgrade from 7.0.0.4 or later 7.0.0.x releases to 7.0.1.x if I am running IBM Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, ProjectConsole, SoDA, TestManager, and/or Robot?

Answer


There are two possible paths to upgrade.

  • Uninstall the 7.0.0.4 (or later) version of the product, and then install 7.0.1.0.

    Note: You cannot upgrade directly from 7.0.0.x to 7.0.1.x. This upgrade path requires you to install 7.0.1.0 then upgrade to whichever Fix Pack release that you want to end up at, and (optionally) add any iFixes after that.

    OR

  • Create a release area for 7.0.1.0, and patch it to version 7.0.1.3, then you can have your 7.0.0.4 (or later) clients upgrade from that release area.
