Error description

  • According to documentation, ClearCase version 7.x does not
support an integration with Visual Studio .NET v2002.
However, when installing CC 7.0, the Site Preparation tool
lists the integration as an option to be installed. When I
select the default install options, it appears that the
integration does in fact get installed.

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

  • The integration is listed in error as an option to install with
CC 7.x. We recommend performing a custom installation and desele
cting that integration as a feature.
A new install technology is currently under development. We full
y expect this problem to be fixed in a future version when the n
ew installer is released. Because there are no harmful side effe
cts of this defect, we do not plan to fix it in the current gene
    ration of the installer.
