Swift-based cloud types are being deprecated

Swift-based cloud types are being deprecated for cloud-container storage pools. When you define a new cloud-container storage pool with IBM Spectrum® Protect Version 8.1.12, consider using another cloud provider, such as IBM Cloud® Object Storage, Amazon Web Services (AWS) with Simple Storage Service (S3), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Storage.

Any data that is sent to an existing Swift type of cloud-container storage pool continues to be protected and can be restored. When you define a new cloud-container storage pool, however, avoid use of the SWIFT, V1SWIFT, and IBMCLOUDSWIFT cloud types or you will see a warning message. Continued use of a Swift-based cloud type results in a weekly warning message.
