Installing the Guardium Insights policy to Guardium Central Manager

After enabling the streaming of data to IBM Security Guardium Insights, youyou must first connect to your data sources.

Before you begin

Ensure that Guardium Insights supports the data source environment that you will connect to.

If you are connecting to data sources for the first time, Guardium Insights guides you through your first connections as part of the getting started experience. To add more data sources (or work with data sources that are already defined), click Connections in the Settings menu (main menu).

Note that you may need to adjust your Guardium Central Manager settings to allow for streaming to Guardium Insights. See Adjusting Guardium central manager and OpenShift Container Platform settings for data mart streaming for more information.

    1. If you are adding a connection through the Guardium Insights getting started experience, click the Guardium panel in the Welcome page.
    2. If you are adding a connection after accessing the Guardium Insights Overview page, ensure that the Guardium tab is selected and click Connect Guardium Source.
  2. Required: Name: Enter a name for the connection. This name is used to distinguish this connection from other connections in Guardium Insights.
