Importing historical data from Guardium aggregators

Guardium Insights allows you to stream data from Guardium aggregators.

Before you begin

You must be connected to at least one supported version of Guardium central manager.

Procedure

  1. To open the settings menu, select Settings (main menu). After opening the settings menu, choose Integrations, and then choose the Guardium card.
  2. Click Schedule aggregator export to open the Export historical data wizard.
  3. In the Select central manager page, select the central manager that you want to export from.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the Set start/end date page, set the start date and end date of the data to export.
  6. Click Next.
  7. The Select aggregators page becomes populated with the aggregators that are connected to the central manager that you selected. Select one or more aggregators to export from. To choose all of the aggregators in the page, select the checkbox next to the Name column header. After selecting all of the aggregrators to export, click Schedule data export. This will cause the data export to happen according to the start and end date that you set in the previous page.
  8. When the data export begins to run, you will receive a notification. In addition, the aggregator Status column changes to indicate that data export is running.
  9. Click Finish to complete the wizard.

What to do next

If desired, you can export historical data for individual or multiple aggregators. To do this, select the link to a central manager in the Guardium central managers page and then navigate to its managed units. Select the Aggregators tab and then select one or more aggregators and choose Schedule data export. In the Schedule data export dialog box, set the start date and end date of the data to export and then click Begin export.

After adding the aggregator schedule, you can view the aggregators and their status by selecting the connection's Aggregators tab. If you edit the central manager connection, you will be able to edit the Aggregator start date and the Aggregator end date, however, if you already have an export job running, it is advised that you not change the start and end date (this will cause the start and end dates to change on the job that is already running).
